Evaluate Your Course’s Look with this Checklist

Do your page titles and headers accurately reflect the content? “Welcome to Everyday Fitness!” is much more inviting than a generic title like “Introduction to the Course.”

Is the course structure readily apparent to learners?

Even the most eager beavers might appreciate a quick explanation about how your course is organized. Does every module follow the same sequence? Is there a test at the end of each section? Are you providing worksheets or other resources that learners need to know about? Consider adding a short note on your Welcome page to give your students a heads-up.

Are all your navigation icons and text clear, consistent and intuitive?

You can help learners move easily through your course with simple prompts on your Welcome page like “Click on Menu at the top of your screen to choose the lesson that interests you."

Are you using all the available tools that your online school platform offers?

Students are easily distracted so remove or hide any tools or forums they won't be using.

Have you used bold, color, font size, spacing and other design features to make your content pop?
